A recent Pew Center poll shows American "belief" in the idea of Anthropogenic Global Warming steadily eroding. Why are public perceptions changing? This presentation will dissect the arguments for and against human caused climate change and the degree to which it is considered a "crisis". We will look at evidence presented by climatologists and consider popularly cited alternate explanations. We will also examine cultural perspectives that predispose us to leaning more toward one side or the other. Please bring your cell phone so that you can participate in audience polls. After the presentation, there will be time for questions, discussion, and perhaps some lively debate! We all know this can be an acrimonious subject. Bring an open mind and a constructive attitude.
