There are tours that take you to the lake. There are tours that take you on the lake. There are tours that take you above the lake. Now there is a hosted and guided tour that takes you completely around the lake in an air-conditioned, 42-passenger shuttle.

Darin Talbot, Lake Tahoe's popular tour guide and entertainer and creator of Around Tahoe is introducing a new, live guided tour, the Around Tahoe Tours Shuttle, taking guests to the “Seven Sacred Sights of Tahoe". In cooperation with Northstar Transportation the Around Tahoe Tours Shuttle will be departing from both north shore and south shore each week. The tours run from  9am to 3pm and take customers to seven specifics spots including Emerald Bay, Meeks Bay, Fanny Bridge & the Truckee River, Mt. Rose Vista Lookout, Sand Harbor State Park, Cave Rock & Logan Shoals Vista, and one last secret spot.

Starting on Sunday, July 12th the shuttle will pick up at Explore Tahoe in Heavenly Village at 9am. Around Tahoe Tours will run Sundays and Wednesdays out of South Lake Tahoe and Tuesdays out of North Lake  Tahoe. The north shore tour on Tuesday's picks up at Northstar at 8:30am and also at the Kings Beach boat ramp at 9am.

Darin Talbot will be the on-board tour-guide/entertainer telling all the stories, legends, folklore, history, statistics, and information while also playing his signature songs of Tahoe.

Darin Talbot has performed his “Mr. Tahoe Show” for years on the MS Dixie II paddlewheeler and now brings his talents to his own custom tour around the lake. Around Tahoe began in 2008 with the release of an award-winning self-guided tour CD and recently released the new Around Tahoe GPS App.

“We also hope to help ease the vehicle tension around Lake Tahoe by offering visitors the alternative to go on our shuttle buses," Talbot commented. The tour will offer concessions on board the shuttle and many of the stops offer guests the opportunity to to try some of Tahoe best restaurants and even do some shopping.
