Guys, ghouls and ghosts will scare up some wicked fun in downtown Reno’s Riverwalk District on Sat., Oct 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. during the 5th annual Riverwalk Merchants Halloween Hollow event. This year’s theme is “Monsters & Mayhem” and costumes are heavily encouraged.

Halloween fun is kicked up a notch with free family games, entertainment, live music, a doggie costume contest and more at the West Street Plaza Halloween Weekend. You’ll find bounce houses for the kids, food stands and free trick-or-treating for all ages. This year we have also included a special trick-or-treat route for your pets. Maps can be downloaded from the website renoriver.org/halloween the week of the event or picked up the day of the event at the Riverwalk booth.

The Main plaza stage will feature live music from numerous local talents as well as a special performance by “Drinking with clowns”.

A special dog costume contest is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 29th and will be followed by a special Pup-Crawl. The pup-crawl and contest will support the local chapter of the SPCA of Northern Nevada, a no-kill shelter. Register at the SPCA booth in the West Street Plaza or pre-register at Reno eNVy on Sierra St. in Downtown Reno. The entry fee is $10 per dog and 100% of all proceeds are donated to the SPCA.
