Sierra College, Truckee

with Toby Terrell, Ph.D

“Although different approaches are considered, this discussion views

2012 from a primarily spiritual perspective, something that rarely intrudes in our Western approach to education but which I think should have a place,” explains Terrel who is doing research on the spiritual history of humanity and teaches in Sierra College’s Humanities department.

This evening’s lecture focuses on the various doomsday predictions for the end of the world including a number of alternative theories and attempts to place 12-2012 in a larger, more positive context. Terrel holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Harvard University, a master’s in History from the University of Oregon and a doctorate in Classics from the University ofColorado at Boulder.
