The humble ukulele has become one of the world's most popular instruments. The Reno Ukulele Festival attracts hundreds of music lovers from throughout the country to John Ascuaga's Nugget Resort. The Festival features a weekend of multiple styles of music, workshops for all abilities, two concerts in the Celebrity Showroom, and a marketplace where ukulele builders and music vendors show their wares. Its organizers attempt to spread "ukulele bliss" to new audiences each year by opening the weekend with a non-ukulele artist coupled with an exceptional ukulele act. This year it's guitar legend Leo Kottke with songstress Victoria Vox.
