The Family Challenge is a matched time GS race completed as a family team. The team component is a combined best difference from a child in the family with the best difference from an adult in the family. The winning team gets bragging rights plus their name engraved on a trophy in the base lodge. All children who complete two runs receive a medal. Top finishers receive prizes.
