Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center groomed approximately 10 kilometers of trail in the Home Range area and opened for skiing on Monday, October 22, the earliest opening date in the resort’s history. Staff towed the brand new Ginzu groomer behind a snowmobile and the special roller and comb system set down a beautiful corduroy surface. The new equipment allows Tahoe Donner to groom with very little snow on the ground. Tahoe Donner intends to use this grooming process as long as the snow allows and until the facility is able to use traditional grooming machines on the trail.
